Charleston, W.V. – The West Virginia School Service Personnel Association (WVSSPA) announced at its 51st annual Spring Conference an annual dues reduction of $31 for regular members.
“This is the first time in 51 years that dues have been cut. We have listened to our members and we are finally in position to be able to make this request a reality. We are making history,” said Executive Director Joe White.
Membership dues for regular members has dropped to $229 annually plus the county share. Substitutes can join for $45 plus the county share, and retirees can join for just $5 plus the county share.
The WVSSPA is a non-profit association whose purpose is to create a deeper sense and knowledge of the importance of a good educational system for West Virginia, and to advance the interests and welfare of service employees. The Association was established in 1965. For the past 50 years, the WVSSPA has been front and center on issues affecting service personnel. The WVSSPA is an 8,000-plus member strong association dedicated to the needs and concerns of school service personnel. The Association values democracy and independence, and recognizes the importance of actively raising awareness on issues important to school service employees in West Virginia.
